Wristband and Headbands Rules
Wristbands and Headbands (Rule 3-5.15, 3-5.16, page 72)
Wristbands and headbands must be either the dominant color of the game jersey or white. The color
shall be uniform for the entire team. Rationale: This eliminates the problem of finding headbands
the same as the dominant color of the game jersey and requires team uniformity.
Rubber bands and pre wrap may be worn as headbands and there is no color restrictions on any of these. A team may have 5 players out there with 5 different colors of pre-wrap in their hair as headbands.
As long as the headbands are legal (single color, no more than 2” wide with only a manufacturer’s or school logo on them), allow any player to wear any color or style of headband that she desires.
